Bryna & Gary : Engagement

You dont know how many times before I start a shoot the client will say, ” Okay, just to let you know…. I do terrible in pictures” or “I hope we get at least one where I look O.K.”. This is kind of how this shoot started out and all I have to say is….” BOOOYYYAAA!!! How ya like me now!!!” I was so excited with the results of this shoot and happy that we got “at least one that looks O.K.”.

Gary and Bryna, thanks for letting me be your wedding photographer. You guys did awesome and I cant wait til your wedding in August. See ya guys soon. Oh ya, I almost forgot to give Gary and Bryna “PROPS“.

Thanksgiving in Oregon 2008

img_1095aa1

This year I spent Thanksgiving on the Oregon Coast (Coos Bay). It was AWESOME! Spending three hours in the Portland Airport waiting for my connecting flight back home, NOT awesome. Still here. Cant wait to get home. Thats all.

Katherine & Ryan : Just Because

Katherine and Ryan are two of my good friends and i was stoked to finally be able to shoot some couple photos for them. Since i know them so well, it was really easy to shoot them, i know exactly how to get them to smile. Ryans kryptonite is me giggling like a like girl. Always works. Katherine on the other hand is always smiling, Thanks Q. The thing about this shoot is that it wasn’t an engagement shoot, not a pregnancy shoot, nor a family shoot. It was a “just because” shoot. Most people only get professional photos done for the occasions that i just spoke of, or weddings. That means its only a handful of occasions in a lifetime! You would be missing out on so many years of documentation. Thats enough of my yammering. Enjoy the pics.

Kevin & Amanda : Wedding

Welcome to Kevin & Amanda’s two day wedding extravaganza. Thats right. Their wedding was so awesome it took two days to get the full awesomeness out of it. ( You know what i am trying to say). The first day was the ceremony day and it took place at Heritage Hill Historic Park. The location was great. The small little chapel was perfect for the type of ceremony that Kevin and Amanda wanted. It was just immediate family and a few friends. Nice and simple.

The reception was held the next day at the Millennium Barn at the Orange County Fair Grounds. The location was so different from any other wedding i have covered. It was so fun to experience something new. This place was great for photo opportunities. We had so many options and we tried to take advantage of all of them. You could tell that everyone at the reception was having a great time. There was so much to do. There was bottle ring toss, a wishing tree, group photos, dancing and a petting zoo!

Kevin & Amanda, thank you for choosing me be your photographer on your very special day. I had a great time. I wish you guys have a long and happy life together. Please make sure to invite me to all your anniversary parties and maybe i can challenge you guys to a game of bottle ring toss since i didn’t get a chance to on your wedding day. Take care.

The Olsens : Prego

I Have known Melissa for a few years now and if theres anything i know about Melissa is that she is going to be a great mother. I am so stoked for her and Jon. This will be their first child and they have decided to not find out if its gonna be a boy or a girl. I dont know how they are gonna do it! i would have to know. I think its gonna be a boy. We should have a poll. Anyone in? Be prepared to see some photos of there kid on this blog soon after HE or she is born. Congrats to Melissa and Jon.

Mammoth : Personal

Every year my friends and i take a camping trip up north to Big Sur, California. Its one of the most amazing places i have ever seen. Its usually the highlight of the summer and we looked forward to it every year, so much to the point that my friend Ryan sets up a countdown every January so we can say stuff like ” Only 200 more days!!!! WOOHOOOO!!!!”. Yes, we get that stoked about it and you would too if you only knew. ( Check out this link ) I could go on and on about how beautiful this place is and how fun our week long camping trips are but this year it actually didn’t happen, boooo. Unfortunately it was cancelled because of all the terrible fires we have had recently. I believe the fires are out now but we had to cancel our reservations because it wasn’t fit for camping, at least not this year. I just hope all the residents and businesses of Big Sur will be ok. So we had to scramble to find and plan another camping trip for the summer and here came Mammoth Mountain to the rescue. This ended up being a great second option. We had a great time. It was full of great friends, ok food, awesome views, fun games, sneaky coyotes, water falls, fishing, kayaking and not to mention terrible music. It was great. Hope you enjoy the photos. Sorry this was a lengthy post, i just love Big Sur.

Alice : Senior

Alice, a soon to be senior, joined us in Huntington Beach this past weekend for some fun senior portraits. This was a last minute gig for me and i was so glad i was able to make this shoot with Belle Amie Studios. The weather was perfect, the light was great and the beach was deserted. Nicceee!!! Although Alice is busy checking out colleges all over the U.S. she still has time to pursue the sport of volleyball. Alice plays for her school and also is on a club volleyball team. Alice, I hope you have a great senior year and get to attend the school of your dreams.

George & Araceli

This is George and Celi. I have known George for quite a while now, so it was exciting when he had asked me if i could do their photos. George and Celi got married a few years ago but said they never really got the type of pictures they wanted on their wedding day. I was so happy to be able to give them something they feel that they missed out on. I hope they enjoy these images for a long time.
